NOTIFICATION KOMMETJIE ROAD UPGRADE: TRAFFIC MOVEMENT

This notice serves to inform you of the traffic movement next week along OKW, for the full length of the current road works:
Tuesday 07/05/19
Only northbound traffic will be diverted onto the built asphalt surface on the left. The southbound traffic will remain as is but there will be construction work between the two directional lanes.
Tuesday 14/05/19
The southbound traffic will be diverted onto the built asphalt surface on the left. The two directional lanes will still be open but there will be a construction zone to the east, adjacent to the traffic.
The same number of lanes will be provided as is currently the case. Traffic signal poles will be moved as appropriate to ensure safe operation.
It should be noted that the asphalt riding surface currently being used is not the finished road surface. The final road layer will be applied in January /February 2020 in a more continuous operation and will eliminate the current surface irregularities germane to this stage of construction.
