NOTIFICATION KOMMETJIE ROAD UPGRADE: SILVERMINE ROAD CLOSURE FOR SURFACING PURPOSES
Dear Interested & Affected Party,
The City’s Transport and Urban Development Authority has granted Martin and East permission to close Silvermine Road at the Ou Kaapseweg intersection. This closure will take place on Monday 1st April 2019 in order to provide a safe working environment for placing the final road surfacing on the widened portions of Ou Kaapseweg and Silvermine Road.
Information and advance warning signs will be erected at all intersections along Silvermine Road to inform motorists to travel west along Silvermine Road to Noordhoek Road. Similar advance warning signs will be placed on Ou Kaapseweg north of Silvermine intersection to inform south bound motorists of the closure as well as locations before Buller Louw Boulevard and Noordhoek Road intersections on Ou Kaapseweg to advise north bound motorists.
This road closure will be in operation for one day but there will be ongoing activity on the following few days during which time the permanent line markings will be painted and road studs installed.
