NOTIFICATION KOMMETJIE ROAD UPGRADE: LANE CHANGES ON KOMMETJIE ROAD
Dear Interested & Affected Party,
On Tuesday 23 April 2019 the two eastbound lanes on Kommetjie Main Road were crossed over the Ou Kaapse Weg/ Kommetjie Main Road intersection in order for traffic to be moved onto the newly completed section of roadway. Further along Kommetjie Main Road towards Corsair Way, the two through lanes are channelled into one lane. An eastbound slip lane has been provided onto Kommetjie Main Road just prior to the intersection. The right turn lane onto Glencairn Expressway has remained as is.
We understand that road users are finding this movement confusing and as such additional markings and signage will be provided as guidance.
