Kommetjie Road Upgrade: Night Work

NOTIFICATION KOMMETJIE ROAD UPGRADE: NIGHT WORK ON KOMMETJIE ROAD AT OU KAAPSE WEG INTERSECTION

                                                                                                                                                                                 

        Dear I&AP,  

 

Martin and East has received a noise exemption permission to allow construction work to be done at night. This work comprises the trench excavation and laying of the new water pipes across Kommetjie Road on the western side of Ou Kaapseweg intersection. This work will commence from 19:00 on 19^th June 2018 and is planned for five consecutive nights. Once the traffic volumes reduce down each evening the number of lanes will be reduced to create the necessary working space for this work to commence. Kommetjie Road will be opened to full width by 05:00 each morning.

            Work on the 19^th June 2018 will commence on the north side of existing Kommetjie Road with traffic being diverted into a single lane in each direction on the south side.
