The CTCRA warns residents that the City of Cape Town’s draft 2026/27 budget will result in increases in residential municipal bills which are significantly higher than inflation for the coming 3 years.
They have grave concerns that these increases will prove to be unsustainable and call upon CoCT to rethink the approach that it has to the budget from the ground up, with the input provided above.
The public needs to make their voices heard and comment on the draft budget (deadline 30/04/2026).
