NOORDHOEK UNPLUGGED

17/18th February and 14/15th April

The Noordhoek Riding Club will be hosting 2 Graded Eventing shows on the Common on the above weekends. These are very popular shows and draw the Cape’s finest horses and riders – why not wander down for a look?

Please look out for galloping horses when walking on the Common during the Cross Country phases. Marshalls/jump judges will be on duty to safely direct the public where necessary.

Please drive with extra caution at this time due to an increase of slow moving car, horsebox and pedestrian traffic in the area.

JAKES RESTAURANT

A new restaurant has opened in Noordhoek but unfortunately, not without some challenging parking problems.

The restaurant provided 40 onsite bays, which is more than the 25 bay minimum required, but overflow parking along Chapman’s Peak Drive and Avondrust Circle has caused concern amongst residents for safety reasons.

The traffic department have addressed the problem by painting yellow lines and putting up no parking signs and recently, by erecting bollards on Chapman ‘s Peak Drive as obstructing drivers’ vision there is very dangerous.

Should residents have issues with the parking along those roads for any reason whatsoever please contact the Metro traffic police on:
