NRPA NEWSLETTER APRIL 2017

Dear NRPA Member / Noordhoek Resident,

NRPA AGM

At the well attended AGM on 27 March we heard feedback on all that the NRPA achieved this year and a number of the 2030 Vision Projects were represented, supported by visual displays.   To view the profiles of your new Exco click here.  Three members of the previous Exco – Lynn Brown, Robin Stott and Marike Colyn – stood down and appreciation was expressed for their hard work and time volunteered. Particular thanks go to Lynn Brown whose dedication, sensitivity and long hours of work have been so integral to the formation and professional running of the association up to now. We are indebted to her and wish her well!

A CHANCE TO SUPPORT MASI HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The highly successful extra Maths tuition project for Grade 11’s and 12’s from Masi High School is in temporary need of a little help. An extra R2 500/month is being sought for 6 months to pay for a light meal for the students who religiously attend classes, come rain or shine, on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons at Fish Hoek High School.

Masicorp www.masicorp.org funds their transport and teaching is provided by Rob Douglas (affectionately called “Teacher Rob”) of FH High, Mr Mlandu of Masi High and volunteers from the wider community. The materials required are funded by Masicorp, who is also busy raising funds to expand the programme to Grade 9’s (60 of them in all) and to include extra Science tuition.

Donations can be made by direct deposit to:

Bank name: Standard Bank
Account: Masicorp
Account No: 374202176

Please send a confirmation email with details (or any queries) to carol@masicorp.org

All funds will go to cover the ingredient costs of the meals prepared by the FH High Hospitality Students.
