The NRPA is supporting the False Bay Hospital Trust in collecting toiletry items and bags for patients admitted to the hospital this Mandela Day.
False Bay Hospital Trust chairman Jonathan Mills explains that many emergency patients arrive at the hospital with “only the clothes on their backs” and in many cases, their stay at the hospital is longer than a day. The aim, he said, is to provide them with basic toiletries to use during their recovery.
Toiletry bags with soap, toothbrushes and paste, washcloths, etc can be dropped off at Sandi’s Bistro in Valyland.
Alternatively, loose items can also be donated if a complete bag cannot be provided.
For more information about the project, call Mr Mills on 079 017 9428.
