KOMMETJIE ROAD PROJECT: TRAFFIC ACCOMMODATION ON NOORDHOEK MAIN ROAD
Dear Interested and Affected Party,
Road construction work is to commence this week on Noordhoek Road between Ou Kaapseweg and Houmoed Avenue. Initial work will entail setting up the necessary traffic accommodation and speed reduction signage which will allow Martin and East to remove the three traffic islands along this section of roadway.
The traffic signal and pole on the median island at the Ou Kaapseweg intersection will also be removed. Once these have been removed and a temporary road surface installed, additional signage and temporary chevrons will be placed along the northern edge. This will allow the installation of stormwater pipes and cable ducts. Lane widths along this section of roadway will be reduced to ensure that safe working space is provided.
Pedestrians movements will be accommodated along the southern side of Noordhoek Road between Ou Kaapseweg and Houmoed Avenue. Vehicular access to properties will be maintained at all times.
