Fresh, organic local produce is now available at the Foodbarn Deli

The Noordhoek Ratepayers’ Association (NRPA) is delighted to see that organic, fresh produce from the local market garden in Sleepy Hollow, Metro Organics, will be available at the Foodbarn Deli from this Thursday, 21 May 2020. Although the Deli has been stocking Metro Organics produce for some time now, from this week Metro Organics will occupy a whole room in the community’s favourite deli.

NRPA Chairman, Brad Bing, says, “Metro Organics is a sustainable, environmentally-sound and profitable local business that has created eight jobs in the valley. It is one of our valley’s success stories as it stimulates the Noordhoek economy while keeping our special area’s sense of place. We are thrilled about this association with the Foodbarn Deli, another community gem.”

Metro Organics, run by long-time residents Gillian and Graham Clack and their two daughters, supplies garden-fresh salad leaves, kale, basil, lettuce, spinach, parsley, celery, Asian greens and more.

The Noordhoek Ratepayers Association works towards entrenching six community goals aimed at keeping Noordhoek the environmentally-friendly, good-neighbourly and friendly community we all want to live in.
